PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE
Since July 1995:
Diplomat, Italian Foreign Office, Rome. He has worked at:
• (1995-99) Political Department, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Rome.
• (1999-2003) Embassy of Italy to the Russian Federation, Moscow, Russia (First
Secretary). Political section.
• (2003-2007) Permanent Representation of Italy to the EU, Brussels, Belgium
(Counsellor). Italian delegate to the EU for the Balkans.

• (2007-2010) Foreign Minister’s Cabinet, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Rome.
Minister’s speechwriter.
• (2010-2014) Embassy of Italy in Washington, DC. Head of the Press and Public
Affairs Office.
• (2014-2015) Italian Presidency of the Republic, Rome. First Counsellor for the
Mediterranean, the Middle East and the Gulf.
• (2015-2016) Foreign Minister’s Cabinet, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Rome.
