Dr. Jasmina Knezevic
Dr Jasmina Knežević founded Bel Medic, the first private general hospital in Serbia, in 1995, and led this medical system for 27 years. In 2021, it became part of the Turkish hospital chain Acibadem. Currently, Dr Knežević is a co-owner and a member of the supervisory board of the Acibadem Bel Medic medical system.
Dr Knežević is consistently dedicated and active in creating a better business environment. As a leader in the private healthcare sector, she is a co-founder and a member of the Executive Board of the Association of Serbian Private Healthcare Providers. Additionally, she is a member of the Board of the Bel Hospice, the first specialized charity organization in Serbia that provides palliative care. She is also a member of the Board of Association of Business Women and a member of the Board of The Corporate Directors of Serbia (UKDS). Through her various activities, she has had a significant impact on the business environment in Serbia.
Throughout her career, Dr Knezevic and Bel Medic as a company have received numerous awards and public recognitions. Notable mentions include “The Manager of the Year” for 2020 by the Serbian Association of Managers, “The Women of Change” in 2014, and a lifetime achievement award from the Association of Private Physicians. The company also received the European Business Award for Customer Focus (2018), one of the most prestigious accolades a company can receive, as well as one of the world’s largest cross-industry, cross border business competitions.
