Milos Latinovic was born on September 23rd 1963. in Kikinda.
He graduated from primary and secondary school in Kikinda, and from the Faculty of Political Sciences in Belgrade, where he defended his master thesis on the subject of Sterijino pozorje and the theatre life of Serbia. He is currently a PhD student at the same faculty, at the University of Belgrade.
During the years between 1999. and 2001. he was the director of the National Library „Jovan Popović“ in Kikinda, and from 2003. until 2008. the director of the National Theatre in Kikinda.
As member of the municipal council SO Kikinda he was in charge of the culture, education and media department from 2008. until 2013.
He’s the author of six collections of stories, eight novels, two essay books, two monogaphies and ten dramatic texts.
He has published over a hundred literary articles in periodicals, weekly and daily newspapers.
His novel Shakespear’s Client was nominated for the NIN award in 2002.
After two editions in Serbia , the book Tales of the Wind was translated to Romanian and German, and A Hundred Days of Rain to Bulgarian (Persej Sofia). His novels Shakespear’s Client and Four Madnesses were translated to Russian (Skifia Saint Petersburg). Numerous prose texts have been translated to English, Hungarian, Slovenian, Slovakian, Russian and Macedonian.
The jury of the Association of Writers of Vojvodina named his novel The Executioner in Heaven best book of 2008, and recieved the „Stevan Pešić“ award for his poetic-prose collection Stars and Islands in 2012.
He was also presented with the prestigious award „Golden sunflower“ in 2014, for the novel A Hundred Days of Rain.
The essay about an actor titled Between the Dragon and his Anger received first prize – Golden Quill at the competition in Požarevac.
He is the main editor of the magazine Scena, published by Sterijino pozorje in Novi sad.
He is currently the director of Bitef Theatre and Bitef Festival.
