Biography

Richard Kohli, born in 1966, was appointed to the position of head of cooperation of the Embassy of Switzerland in Belgrade in August 2020. He is a holder of a Master of Arts degree. Richard Kohli entered the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (FDFA) in 1993 and served until 2000 as a programme officer within the Swiss cooperation for promoting the transition processes in Central Europe. Between 2000 and 2004 he acted as a deputy head of cooperation of the Swiss Embassy in Lima/Peru. This assignment was followed by an engagement in the same position in the Swiss Embassy in Islamabad/Pakistan until 2007. From 2007 till 2012 he served at FDFA head office as a programme officer for the Swiss Cooperation in Serbia, followed by the appointment to the position of deputy head of the Western Balkan Division until 2016. Before joining the Swiss Embassy in Belgrade Richard Kohli was heading the international cooperation department of the internal audit of the FDFA.
